Background
Forming as a new company in 2013, AbbVie sought a new office in Maidenhead from which to base its UK operations. Having no formal property or FM infrastructure in the UK, AbbVie took on a brand new office and undertook a full refurbishment in preparation for relocating its team to the new offices during the summer of 2015. Anabas worked closely with AbbVie to provide the facilities expertise to support AbbVie’s move to the new building.
DESIGNING A FACILITIES SERVICE EXPERIENCE FOR ABBVIE’S TEAMS
With a focus on creating a high quality environment and the benefit ofkick-starting the delivery of facilities services on site, Anabas worked closely with AbbVie to design a service which was highly tailored to both the business and the new workspace. The recruitment of a completely new team ensured that the facilities team working at the office were carefully selected to complement the AbbVie teams based within the office.
Through extensive experience of supporting a range of clients in relocating to new offices, Anabas supported AbbVie in dealing with the defects liability period and provided support to AbbVie with managing landlord queries and issues throughout the relocation period and at the final stages of the fit out. This was combined with a carefully managed mobilisation which worked in tandem with AbbVie’s relocation plan and official launch of the new building to the business.
